New York, August 7, 2008 – Billy Shepard and Judi Jourdan’s Search for a Star, the nationally famous and longest running singer’s talent search in New York, will be announcing the winners of the NYC Singing Idol Sing Off on Friday, August 12, 2008 at “THE REPRISE ROOM AT PURNIMA DILLON’S” DINNER CABARET THEATRE located at 245 West 54th Street, New York City.
Seating for the finale starts at 7:00 p.m. and showtime is at 8:30 p.m. The finale will take place in one of the most famous and most desired Cabaret rooms, “The Reprise Room at Purnima Dillon’s” which offers nightly entertainment, including singer showcases executive produced by New York City legends, Billy Shepard & Judi Jourdan.
“We auditioned over 1,000 singers for the 2008 NYC Singing Idol Sing Off. Of those auditioned, 65 singers were selected to compete and participate in the competition. The finalists will also be submitted to a nationally famous talent agency,” said Billy Shepard, executive producer of the NYC Singing Idol Sing Off. “We look forward to a very exciting evening of singing and pure talent. There will be two prizes for the winner and for the runner up:

If you wish to participate in the next NYC Singing Idol Sing Off, please visit us at an upcoming Open Mike Night Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the “The Reprise Room at Purnima Dillon’s” located at 245 West 54th Street, New York, NY. Be prepared to sing a song and please bring sheet music, a CD with background music, self-accompanied or a pianist will be provided.
Singers of all styles are welcome, there are no age restrictions. Newcomers and experienced of all ages are welcome. There are no fees involved for the Open Mike night. You may also be selected to do your own Cabaret showcase as well as joining the next NYC Singing Idol Sing Off competition. Singers have the opportunities to be submitted for consideration to major record labels, theatrical agencies, cruises and Atlantic City.
